American Sign Language – I Love You – sculpture dedicated in Myrtle Beach

A new sculpture has been dedicated in downtown Myrtle Beach.

The dedication of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind took place on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 506 9th Ave. North.

The Meaning Behind the I Love You Sculpture

The sculpture, a collaboration between SCSDB and renowned artist-in-residence Bob Doster, is a testament to the beauty of communication and the celebration of art, education and community,” said Logen Belmont, Director of Strategic Communications. “It features the hands of fine arts students, school staff, and Spartanburg community members

The symbol in American Sign Language is universally known among the deaf.
