Family Fun Meets Gaming for a Good Cause at GCX 2025 in Orlando

Gaming Community Expo (GCX) in Orlando this July 2025

Families with gamers, mark your calendars! The Gaming Community Expo (GCX) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer at Universal Orlando Resort, and it’s shaping up to be the ultimate vacation for video game fans of all ages.

Taking place July 25–26, GCX is not your average gaming event. Designed to bring together gaming, community, and purpose, this two-day experience offers something for everyone—whether you’re a die-hard gamer, curious parent, or a family just looking for a fun and unique getaway.

What makes GCX truly special is its long-standing partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over the years, the GCX community has raised more than $33 million to support children battling serious illnesses. Attending the event means being part of something bigger—helping show that Gaming Does Good.

Held inside Universal Orlando Resort, GCX offers hands-on previews of new and unreleased games, live panels with game developers and top creators, and tons of opportunities to meet popular streamers like KingGothalion, ProfessorBroman, and Darkness429.

To close out the weekend, families can enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience: a private after-hours night at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park on July 26 from 10 PM to 1 AM. Imagine having the park almost to yourself for rides, fun, and memory-making!
