Class Valuation adds two senior sales executives

Class Valuation has expanded its national sales team with the hirings of Jim Bannister and Scott Shaw as senior executives, the company announced Tuesday.

The duo brings more than 45 years of combined experience in mortgage lending, financial services and financial technology to Class Valuation, an appraisal management company that is continuing to grow its leadership ranks.

Bannister has previously held senior sales roles at Cotality (formerly CoreLogic), First American Financial Corp., Black Knight Financial Services and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).

“There’s a clear shift occurring in the valuation space — and Class is at the forefront,” Bannister said in a statement. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how lenders react to their innovative technology and exceptional service. This is the type of momentum you want to join when you’re committed to delivering real impact.”

Shaw, who also worked at several of the same organizations, including Intel and ICE, brings more than 25 years of experience in financial technology. His past work includes doubling revenue at Clear Capital and generating more than $12 million in new revenue while at ICE.

“Class isn’t just evolving, it’s redefining what modern valuation looks like,” Shaw said. “This team is thinking bigger, moving faster and tackling problems that others haven’t even attempted. It’s a unique opportunity to help shape a market alongside people who truly understand where the industry is headed.”

Class Valuation CEO John Fraas said the company views the new hires as part of its strategy to invest in experienced professionals who can support client success.

“The addition of Jim and Scott marks an exciting milestone as we continue to invest in top-tier talent that supports our clients’ success,” Fraas said. “Their leadership and deep industry connections will strengthen our ability to deliver unmatched value through innovation, service and strategic partnerships.”

Last week, Class Valuation announced its acquisition of Appraisal Nation, a North Carolina-based firm that specializes in valuation services for the private lending sector.

Class Valuation also recently named Chris Flynn as its chief data officer as it seeks to expand its use of analytics, artificial intelligence and automation in property valuation.
