DUSTIN JOHNSON JUNIOR WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY AT MYRTLE BEACH TPC

Myrtle Beach, SC — The 10th annual Dustin Johnson Junior World Golf Championship Presented by LA Golf is again hosting one of the strongest fields in junior golf with a combined 35 boys and girls in the Rolex AJGA rankings committed to the field. A total of 90 boys and girls will be competing in the 54-hole Dustin Johnson Junior World Golf Championship event held at the nationally recognized TPC Myrtle Beach from Feb. 28-March 2. 

Tyler Watts headlines the stellar boy’s field that also includes Bowen Mauss, Mason Howell, Hamilton Coleman and Sterling Hurd. The 2023 girl’s champion Ryleigh Knaub, who also finished T2 in 2024, returns and is joined by other elite junior golfers including Brynn Kort, Mia Hammond, Amelie Zalsman and Elizabeth Rudisill. The 2024 champions, Ethan Paschal and Vanessa Borovilos, are playing collegiately at the University of North Carolina and Texas A&M University respectively. 

“The 2025 field reinforces the position of the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship as one of the premier events in junior golf,” said Allen Terrell, Vice-President, Dustin Johnson Foundation. “Now celebrating a decade of the tournament, it’s great to see our former players continuing to excel both in the college and professional ranks with past champions Akshay Bhatia, Nick Dunlap and Alexa Pano all winning at the Tour level.”

Thanks to the support of its namesake, major winner and star professional golfer Dustin Johnson, the championship is renowned for giving participants a pro-like experience. Johnson’s involvement in the tournament reflects his long-time commitment to junior golf, particularly in his native South Carolina. Through the Dustin Johnson Foundation, which is headquartered in Myrtle Beach, Johnson has donated more than $500,000 to junior golf. 

“Dustin’s hands-on involvement has helped the World Junior Golf Championship draw one of the strongest fields in junior golf year after year,” added Terrell. “Our past fields have featured some of the rising stars in golf today and we are confident that our 2025 participants will represent the next generation of champions.”

A 54-hole college-style event, the Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship field includes 54 boys and 36 girls. Following the second round, the top 36 boys and ties and top 18 girls and ties will advance to the final round on Sunday, March 2. Tee times run from 9 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 8 am to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Spectators are welcome for the competitive rounds (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and admission is free.
