he Myrtle Beach Police Department arrested three individuals in connection with events in Myrtle Beach that occurred before and after the April 26 shooting incident on Ocean Boulevard. These arrests are not directly tied to the shooting itself but are independent cases and part of the broader investigation into associated criminal activity.
Myrtle Beach Police Department investigators served search warrants Tuesday, May 20, at three residences. This morning, officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, with the assistance of the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office, Bennettsville Police Department, and the Clio Police Department, served two search warrants. During that time, one individual was taken into custody, in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Additionally, in Laurinburg, North Carolina, one search warrant was served, along with one individual also taken into custody with assistance from Laurinburg Police Department.
As a result of these coordinated efforts, two individuals were taken into custody. Firearms and additional evidence were also recovered during the operations.
An arrest warrant was also served in High Point North Carolina, and one individual was taken into custody with assistance from High Point Police Department.
All three individuals taken into custody today as a result of this investigation were for firearm related offenses. These actions follow several weeks of investigation into the events surrounding the April 26 incident. Detectives from the Myrtle Beach Police Department have since identified additional individuals believed to be connected to the events leading up to and following that date.
