Mayor Hatley, a foundational leader of the South Carolina Beach Advocates, has served as Vice Chair of the organization since its inception in 2014 until 2025. Alongside Tim Goodwin, the founding Chair, Mayor Hatley was instrumental in establishing the organization, which has become a cornerstone for state beach preservation efforts.
During her tenure, Mayor Hatley:
