White House Appoints Tyler Teresa as SBA’s Southeast Regional Administrator

ATLANTA – President Trump’s White House and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler have appointed Tyler Teresa as the Southeast Regional Administrator making it the first time in SBA history that all the regional administrator positions have been appointed within 100 days of a new administration.

Tyler Teresa: Leading the SBA in the Southeast

In this role, Tyler Teresa oversees day-to-day operations of the eight-state Southeastern Region, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. His appointment started in May of 2025.

“I am honored to serve the Southeastern Region of the SBA,” says Regional Administrator Tyler Teresa. “I am committed to helping businesses find the resources they need to start, grow and expand our Southern economy.  I will work closely with small business owners, lenders, community stakeholders, and local and state officials as we not only help to build our small business economy stronger, but we will work together to assist our local communities in the aftermath of natural disasters, which we know to expect in our region.”

Regional Administrator Tyler Teresa grew up in Sarasota, Florida, where his family owned and operated a small business.  Tyler Teresa is honored to now be in this position to be the eyes and ears for small business across the Southeast.

Most recently, Regional Administrator Tyler Teresa served as the White House Liaison and Presidential Transition Advisor for the SBA assuring that the Trump Administration’s leadership is in place across the Agency.

Prior to SBA, Tyler Teresa held numerous roles during President Trump’s successful campaigns in 2016 and 2024; served as the Regional Director for U.S. Sen. Ted Budd of North Carolina; and worked in both the White House and U.S. State Department. 

Regional Administrator Tyler Teresa received his bachelor’s degree in politics from Earlham College and is proud to call Greenville, South Carolina, his home where he resides with his wife.
