Zachery Ty Bryan – Home Improvement Star, arrested in Myrtle Beach for domestic violence

Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in the TV show Home Improvement, was taken into custody this week in Myrtle Beach based on online prison records that indicate a charge related to domestic violence.

The American sitcom Home Improvement ran for eight seasons and 204 episodes from September 17, 1991 to May 25, 1999 on ABC

Bryan, aged 43, was arrested and taken to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday. He is facing charges of second-degree domestic violence and is currently being held in jail with a bond set at $10,000.

Detention records at J. Reuben Long indicate that he was released shortly after 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

Arrested for Domestic Violence

Bryan has encountered several legal troubles within the past year. In October of 2024, he was taken into custody by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for the second instance of suspected DUI. KTLA, a Nexstar-affiliated news outlet, reported that dashcam footage captured his arrest. During the apprehension, Bryan expressed remorse to the trooper, admitting, I apologize, I have a penchant for alcohol.
