Tiger Woods has recently opened his newest venture in Myrtle Beach, marking his second business venture in the area.

The new golf venue opened at noon on March 4th in Broadway at the Beach, Woods is a partner in PopStroke – a unique establishment that combines a restaurant, bar, and golf putting course, confirmed by company spokesperson Dylana Silver-O’Brien.

Spanning across 54,000 square feet, PopStroke boasts two 18-hole putting courses, an expansive 11,000-square-foot clubhouse, and a nearby 3,500-square-foot kids’ playground, according to submitted plans.

The business proudly embraces the motto “Eat, Putt, Drink” and is conveniently situated next to The Hangout. It offers patrons a full-service restaurant, multiple themed bars including a sports bar, a variety of beverages, a premium ice cream and milkshake shop with 24 flavors, an outdoor gaming area, a beer garden, and private event spaces.

PopStroke elevates the experience further with its downloadable app, enabling guests to manage rewards and place food and drink orders for delivery directly onto the courses.

The incorporation of technology enhances the experience with LED-lit holes and JumboTrons scattered throughout the courses, creating an immersive atmosphere.

PopStroke is the brainchild of former Wall Street executive Greg Bartoli, who serves as the brand’s CEO. Alongside Woods, TaylorMade Golf has also joined as co-owners, with customers having the opportunity to keep TaylorMade Golf balls.

While food and beverage offerings remain consistent across all PopStroke locations, the Broadway venue will feature local craft draft beers, paying homage to the regional breweries.

Each PopStroke course is meticulously designed with synthetic turf greens, mounding, bunkers, and rough areas, all crafted by a team of skilled golf course builders, shapers, and superintendents. The synthetic turf, specifically chosen for its ability to mimic natural grass, offers challenging speeds of approximately 11 to 12 on a Stimpmeter.

PopStroke aims to set itself apart from traditional miniature golf and putt-putt courses along the Grand Strand with its innovative design and unique putting experiences.

With the grand opening approaching, there is speculation whether Woods will make a personal appearance. While nothing is confirmed, Bartoli expressed optimism about the possibility, stating, “To be determined, I would say.”

As part of its expansion plans, PopStroke is set to open 14 locations in five states by the end of 2025, with Myrtle Beach being one of the chosen destinations.

In a region already saturated with golf-related businesses, PopStroke offers a refreshing and exciting addition to the Myrtle Beach landscape, further enriching the area’s vibrant golfing culture.
