Controversy Surrounding RJ May

A press release issued by Jordan Pace, Chairman of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus states RJ May has been expelled for the caucus.

Writes Pace: The South Carolina Freedom Caucus stands firmly for the rule of law and the protection of children. Representative RJ May has been expelled from our caucus. He has not been involved in the operations of the caucus since August of 2024.

We call for his immediate resignation from the House.

Although formal charges have not been made public yet, all indications are that these indictmments will be for child sex abuse materials.

These crimes are heinous and we expect that they will be fully investigated.

We pray justice is served.

There is a saying in support groups that we are only as sick as our secrets. RJ May, by all indications, had many secrets.

RJ May was apprehended at his residence on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by a source with knowledge of the case. He is being held in detention for the U.S. Marshals.

In November, May secured a third consecutive victory in state House District 88 as the sole candidate listed on the ballot. Despite facing a write-in contender, RJ May emerged victorious. His political campaign company, Ivory Tusk, managed campaigns for conservative politicians, including those affiliated with the Freedom Caucus.

Ivory Tusk management previously served as the political consultant for Congressman Russell Fry of the S.C. 7th Congressional District, but Fry has since discontinued using their services.
